Registrations for teams taking part in the 2020 Telkom VS Gaming League have now opened for CS:GO, Dota 2 and League of Legends. Game titles not included as leagues will be supported in the form of cups, which will go live soon.
The 2020 Online League will consist of three legs. Each leg has a duration of five weeks. At the end of the fifth week, teams will be promoted or relegated between divisions depending on their finishing position. The top teams at the end of the online league will qualify for the Championships. In the case of CS:GO, the top teams at the Championships will qualify for the Masters.
For the 2020 season we have replaced the entry cups that were used in 2019 and will be using a division format. The season begins with a registration period where all old and new teams will have to (re)register for the 2020 season (see note below). All teams that have taken part in the 2019 season will be seeded into a division based on their finishing position, after promotion/relegation, in Leg 4 of the 2019 season. All newcomers to the League will be placed into the lowest division where they can start to make their way into the higher divisions. The 2020 division structure will look something like this:
Planned Divisions Sizes
#Note: All teams that took part in the 2019 season that want to take part in the 2020 season must reregister for the 2020 season. We are doing this because of the long gap between the seasons where teams have disbanded or are not interested in taking part in leg 1 of the new season.
